1 C Shortening | 1 T Vinegar | 2 t Ginger |
1 C Sugar | 5 C Flour | 1 t Cinnamon |
1 Egg | 1 1/2 t Soda | 2 t Cloves |
1 C Molasses | 1/2 t Salt | |
Cream shortening and sugar. Beat in egg, molasses and vinegar. Mix in dry ingredients. Chill 3 hours. Roll dough and cut into shapes. Bake at 375 F for 5-6 minutes. |
